Safer Recruitment Wider Workforce Training
Stephen Dodd (Youth Organisations Wolverhampton Co-ordinator at Wolverhampton Voluntary Sector Council
- Carol recently delivered the Safer Recruitment training for all WVSC's project co-ordinators / managers, senior managers and other staff with responsibility for HR and safeguarding. Carol ran the course using Microsoft Teams and it exceeded our expectations.
- The content was thought provoking and challenging. Carol' delivered the course over two afternoons about a week a part in a way that was interactive, well-paced, reflective, and involved everyone.
- The course ended with Carol facilitating our discussions to help us write an action plan so that we have been able to embed the learning in our own recruitment processes.
- I can't recommend Carol highly enough.

I have been fortunate to attend training provided by Carol and have also delivered parts of her sessions on ‘Shared Responsibilities’ and ‘Safer Recruitment’. In addition, we regularly ‘chew the fat’ over current safeguarding related issues, sharing points of view and how this might inform our respective practice. Carol’s wealth of knowledge around the very wide safeguarding agenda is fantastic and there is always something for me to learn. She is an energetic and passionate trainer and buzzes from seeing people benefit from her experiences. Carol is wonderful at weaving her knowledge into training sessions that never fail to hit the mark.

Carol has been a great inspiration to me and has been a significant contributor to my education on matters of domestic abuse. I was recently inspired to write a book on the subject and a lot of the points made have come from her direct influence on me. I have witnessed the way she is able to interact with clients, students etc, ensuring that her presentations are never one way traffic. I would certainly recommend Carol and look forward to a continued working relationship.

My name is Perri and I am one of the safeguarding adult nurses for RWT. Yesterday I attended the raising awareness of FGM training provided by Carol Davies and following this felt compelled to contact you with feedback. Carols training was incredibly informative and enjoyable. Her knowledge of the subject was impeccable and her passion for both the subject of FGM and education was clearly evident. Carol was extremely friendly, helpful and approachable and I feel she is an absolute credit to safeguarding services. I have given feedback to my line manager and wider team, strongly recommending this training to them.
I would like to ask if you could pass on my sincere thanks to Carol for the fantastic training and I hope that myself and wider team will be able to access more of the brilliant training she provides again in the near future.
